What is PolyInvert?

PolyInvert is a powerful iOS app that inverts the colors of PDF, PNG, and SVG files. Perfect for converting documents to dark mode, improving contrast, or creating inverted versions of images.

How to Use PolyInvert

1. Import Files

Tap the Import Files button to select files from:

• iCloud Drive
• Files app
• Other file providers

You can select multiple files at once. ZIP files will be automatically extracted.

2. Invert Colors

Once files are imported, tap Invert All to process all files, or swipe on individual files to invert them one by one.

3. Export Results

After inversion completes:

• Tap Export All to share all inverted files
• Or swipe on individual files to export them separately
• Use the iOS Share Sheet to save to Files, share via Messages, email, or other apps

What file formats are supported?

PolyInvert supports:

• PDF - Portable Document Format files
• PNG - Portable Network Graphics images
• SVG - Scalable Vector Graphics files
• ZIP - Compressed archives containing any of the above formats

How does color inversion work?

PolyInvert uses advanced algorithms tailored to each file type:

• PDF - Renders each page, inverts colors using Core Image, and reconstructs the document
• PNG - Applies Core Image color inversion filter
• SVG - Intelligently parses and inverts color values in the XML

Where are my files stored?

All file processing happens locally on your device. We do NOT upload or store your files on any server. Files are temporarily processed in the app's sandbox and are removed when you delete them or close the app.

Why am I seeing ads?

PolyInvert is free to use and supported by ads. You'll see:

• Banner ads at the bottom of the screen
• Interstitial ads occasionally after exporting files

You can remove all ads permanently with a one-time in-app purchase.

How do I remove ads?

Tap the Remove Ads button at the top of the screen to make a one-time purchase. This removes all banner and interstitial ads permanently across all your devices linked to your Apple ID.

Can I restore my "Remove Ads" purchase?

Yes! Your purchase is linked to your Apple ID. If you:

• Reinstall the app
• Install on a new device
• See ads after purchasing

Your purchase should restore automatically. If it doesn't, please contact support.

The app crashed or isn't working. What should I do?

Try these troubleshooting steps:

1. Force quit the app and reopen it
2. Restart your device
3. Make sure you're running the latest version of PolyInvert
4. Check that you have enough free storage space
5. Try processing a smaller file to see if the issue is file-specific

What information does PolyInvert collect?

We respect your privacy. PolyInvert:

• ✅ Does NOT access or store the content of your files
• ✅ Does NOT collect personal information
• ✅ Only collects anonymous usage analytics to improve the app
• ✅ Uses Google AdMob for advertising (which may collect device identifiers)

Can I process password-protected PDFs?

Currently, PolyInvert does not support password-protected or encrypted PDF files. Please remove the password protection before importing.

Is there a file size limit?

There's no hard file size limit, but very large files (100+ MB) may take longer to process and could cause performance issues on older devices. We recommend processing files under 50 MB for best results.

Can I use PolyInvert on iPad or Mac?

Yes! PolyInvert is a universal iOS app that works on:

• iPhone (iOS 26.0+)
• iPad (iPadOS 26.0+)
• Mac with Apple Silicon (macOS 26.0+)
• Vision Pro (visionOS 26.0+)

Troubleshooting

Files aren't importing

• Check that the file format is supported (PDF, PNG, SVG, or ZIP)
• Make sure the file isn't corrupted
• Try importing from a different location (iCloud vs local storage)
• Restart the app and try again

Inversion quality is poor

For best results:

• Use high-resolution source files
• PDFs with embedded images work better than scanned documents
• Some complex SVG files may not invert perfectly due to embedded styles

Export is failing

• Check that you have enough free storage space
• Make sure you've granted the app permission to save files
• Try exporting to a different location (Files vs iCloud Drive)
